Embracing Saraswati’s Wisdom During Mercury Retrograde

If you read my recent post about understanding Mercury retrograde, you know that it’s a time when life can be a little bit on the confusing side.

But today, I want to introduce you to the Goddess who stands out as the one to help us during Mercury retrograde; the Hindu Goddess of Mercurial things such as language, communication and knowledge (among other things), the amazing Goddess Saraswati.

I’ve been working with Saraswati since about 2005 as a result of my frequent trips to the Sri Narayani Peedam in India and pretty much everything I know about her, I know from there.

So today I thought I would explore how calling Saraswati in under Mercury retrograde can help us to navigate the challenges of Mercury retrograde…

So Who Is Goddess Saraswati?

As I know her, Saraswati is a part of the triple Goddess Narayani, the deity worshipped at the ashram in India where I’ve been going for coming up to 50 years. You will often see her with various symbols – the veena (a musical instrument), a book, and a rosary or swan … She is said to be the Goddess who introduced language to the world and as such, Saraswati aligns with both the communications planet Mercury and the cycle of Mercury retrograde….

So consider reading up more about Her – the beautiful and serene Goddess Saraswati can offer clarity and calm during Mercury retrograde just by her presence.

How To Call Saraswati In…

The easiest way to call her in is to chant AIM which is pronounced I’M. This is her seed or beja mantra. You can find hundreds of AIM chants on YouTube – take your pick! You can chant her name before, during or after a meditation, over a fire or before you altar with a statue or printed-out image of her.

There is little argument about the fact that Mercury retrograde can be challenging at times. Which makes it a great time to turn to Goddess Saraswati for help – you will not only feel better as she assists you but you will also get a chance to know one of the most beautiful Goddesses of all, in my humble opinion!
