If you truly do want to be successful in life, it really helps to keep your eye beyond the here and now. If the here and now is all that is, then how can you look forward to what can be? This isn’t to say that being in the moment isn’t important, but sometimes, looking ahead can be helpful for your motivation. So, if you need an additional spring in your step, then give yourself a goal or aspiration and work toward it.
