T’was the week before Christmas and as we all prepare to celebrate what’s left of this crazy year, the planets are still conspiring to push us to the limit!
In what has been a year of extremely intense astrology, here comes another seven days of … extremely intense astrology!
This week we get a planetary alignment that’s so important, it even has its own name! It’s called The Great Conjunction, and it’s a very big deal.
It sees the bringing together of mighty planets Jupiter, the planet of all good things, and Saturn, the planet of all bad things. That’s a very simplistic summation, but I don’t think most astrologers would argue with it too hard.
On the plus side, it said that there’s no such thing as a bad Jupiter alignment. So there’s every hope that what’s going to happen this week will have a bright side to it. On the other hand, Saturn really is the dreary, bad news, workhorse planet. The less he is triggered the better, so to speak. But he’s being triggered this week.
This conjunction, as it’s known, takes place every 20 years. This week it’s taking place in the sign of Aquarius which hasn’t happened since 1405!
It’s about fanciful and wishful thinking versus cold hard reality. Where are we in terms of the pandemic? If you look at the situation around the world, some of us are not allowed to leave homes, and some of us are not allowed to leave our countries.
Saturn is the planet of the establishment, while Aquarius is the sign of modernity. Jupiter is the amplification planet. Essentially what we have here is the old-world order versus the new world order, a theme which will continue throughout 2021.
