Creating or Attracting: What's the Best Way to Manifest? - Yasmin Boland

For years, I found myself wrestling with a fascinating question: when it comes to manifesting, should we focus on creating or attracting?

These terms might sound similar, but they’re actually quite different, and understanding this can totally change the way you approach your dreams. Let’s dive into it!

Creating: The Hands-On Approach

When we talk about creating, we’re diving into the active side of manifesting. It’s all about envisioning what you want and then rolling up your sleeves to make it happen. Picture yourself as an artist with a blank canvas. You don’t just sit back and hope a masterpiece appears – you pick up your brush and start painting, right?

Creating is about being the architect of your own life. You decide what you want, set clear goals, and take specific actions to bring those dreams to life. It’s empowering because it puts you in the driver’s seat, steering towards your desired destination with purpose and clarity.

Attracting: The Let-It-Flow Approach

Attracting, on the other hand, is more about aligning yourself with what you want and letting it come to you naturally. It’s the Law of Attraction at work – like attracts like. When you’re vibrating at the right frequency, you draw your desires toward you without having to chase them down.

Think of it like being a magnet. A magnet doesn’t run around trying to stick to metal; it simply exudes a magnetic field, and the metal comes to it. Attracting is about becoming that magnet. It’s about raising your vibration through positive thoughts, feelings, and beliefs so that your desires naturally flow into your life.

Why Not Both?

Here’s the magic: you don’t have to choose between creating and attracting. The best manifesting happens when you blend both approaches. It’s about taking inspired actions (creating) while staying open and receptive to what the universe has in store (attracting).

Creating activates the Law of Assumption

Attracting activates … you guessed it … the Law of Attraction!

Imagine you’re a gardener. You plant seeds (creation), but you also rely on sunshine and rain (attraction) to help those seeds grow. You’re actively involved, yet you also trust in nature’s processes. This balance is key to manifesting effectively.

How to Balance Creating and Attracting

1. Set Clear Intentions: Be specific about what you want. Clarity is your best friend here. Knowing exactly what you’re aiming for helps you both create and attract it.

2. Take Inspired Action: Don’t just sit back and wait for things to happen. Take steps towards your goals. Learn that new skill, start that project, make those connections. Action fuels creation.

3. Cultivate a Positive Mindset: Keep your thoughts and emotions aligned with your desires. Practice gratitude, visualize your goals, and use affirmations to keep your vibration high.

4. Stay Open and Receptive: While you’re working towards your goals, remain open to unexpected opportunities. Sometimes the universe delivers in ways you never imagined.

5. Balance Effort and Allowance: Find a sweet spot between pushing too hard and letting things flow. Don’t force outcomes; trust that what’s meant for you will find its way to you.

In a nutshell…

So, should you focus on creating or attracting? The answer is a bit of both. By understanding and blending these approaches, you unlock the full power of manifesting. You become both the artist painting your dreams and the magnet drawing them into your life.

Manifesting is a beautiful dance between taking action and allowing things to unfold. Embrace the balance, trust the process, and watch as your dreams come to life with greater ease and grace. You’re a powerful creator and a magnetic attractor – use both sides to manifest the life you desire!
