How to let go of anger ... with the Moon - Yasmin Boland

We just had the Full Moon so we are now in the Waning Cycle of the Moon…

It’s an interesting time!

If you’re feeling a little adrift or melancholic, it could be because of this.

While the Waxing Cycle is a very yang energy – like the burning Sun – the Waning Cycle is more of a yin energy – like the gentle, silvery Moon.

So even if you’re on a mad pre-Christmas run-up deadline or your social life is going off like a frog in a sock as silly season approaches, do try and allow yourself time mentally, emotionally and spiritually to let it all go.

The Waning Moon cycle, between the Full Moon and the New Moon, is a natural time for slowing down and entering a more reflective state.

This phase invites us to take our foot off the emotional accelerator, if possible.

It’s an opportunity to breathe deeply, release any anger and tensions, and clear our minds… and God/dess knows we need that from time to time, right?

During this phase, it’s great to actively work on letting go of any lingering upsets or anxieties.

Hopefully you did your forgiveness work at the Full Moon but if not, do it now. Who do you forgive? Forgiveness cuts the karma between you and is good for the soul, if you can muster it.

Negative emotions, if not released, can become burdens that weigh down your spirit and hinder your manifesting.

The Waning Moon serves as a gentle reminder to release these feelings, creating space for new beginnings and positive energies with the approaching New Moon.

Here’s a very simple exercise for releasing upsets and anxieties:

The Waning Moonlit Release Ritual:

– Timing: Choose any night during the Waning Moon phase.

– Preparation: Find a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed. You may want to light a candle or some incense to create a serene atmosphere.

– Reflection: Sit comfortably and take a few deep breaths. Reflect on any recent events or feelings that have caused you distress or anxiety.

– Writing it Down: On a piece of paper, write down all the things you wish to release. This could include specific worries, fears, or general feelings of unease.

– Breathwork: Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. As you breathe out, see your breath as grey and as if it’s your troubles being exhaled. Remember, intention is everything.

– Release: Once you feel ready, safely burn the paper (over the sink if you don’t have a fire pit!) or tear it into small pieces and discard it, symbolizing the release of these burdens…

– Closing: Sit for a few more minutes in silence, acknowledging the lightness of your being. Thank yourself for taking this step towards emotional well-being.

This exercise will help you align with the natural rhythm of the Waning Moon, encouraging a process of emotional decluttering and inner peace.

By regularly practicing rituals like this one, you can deepen connection with the Moon and in turn start to live more in alignment.

Once you do that, you will automatically start to create more of a life that you love.

That is just how the Law of Attraction works.
