When you're going through hell... keep going! - Yasmin Boland

There’s an old saying – attributed to Winston Churchill …

When you’re going through hell… keep going!

And it’s so true!

It kind of reminds me of …

The only way out is through …

Which is thought to be a phrase first coined by the poet Robert Frost but which always reminds me of Ganesha’s mantra.

Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha

So if you are indeed going through hell at the moment, try and just keep going.

There’s a reason you have stumbled on this post randomly.

I’ve always loved this quote from the Dalai Lama.

“NEVER GIVE UP
No matter what is going on
Never give up
Develop the heart
Too much energy in your country
Is spent developing the mind
Instead of the heart
Be compassionate
Not just to your friends
But to everyone
Be compassionate
Work for peace
In your heart and in the world
Work for peace
And I say again
Never give up
No matter what is going on around you
Never give up”

― Dalai Lama XIV

Keep showing up every day.

Surround yourself with good people.

And if you can’t find any good people, find a dog or a cat to keep you company. Or maybe find a dog and/or cat anyway!

Wake up and wash and meditate.

Eat good food and get enough sleep.

And meditate again.

There are a lot of people going through tough times right now because the astrological landscape has shifted so seismically recently this year; more recently, Venus and Mercury were retrograde; we’re nearing the Dark Moon.

It’s all happening!

When I go through tough times I have a life-saving morning routine which I am happy to share with you if you need some inspiration (without an Instagram filter!) – here’s what I do:

* Wake up and have some water/tea/coffee
* Do some gentle yogic stretches with some lovely music playing
* Light a candle at my altar, if I am feeling it
* Alternate nostril breathing and/or chant and/or meditate
* Ask my oracle cards for a message for the day
* Journal about the answer I get…

It’s not going too far to say that this little routine has literally saved my life at least twice.

Just saying!

Out of all those little practices, journaling is perhaps the most under-rated.

But when you you write down your thoughts like this in one place where you can read back over it like a story which unfolded, you are privvy to amazing insights and secrets of the Universe!

Don’t believe me? Just try!

(You can write them down in any old exercise book but if you would like a ‘free’ oracle card journal prompt to print out as many times as you like, you’ll get one as a freebie when you buy and/or register your Moonology Messages oracle cards purchase  before September 19 here!)

So never give up!

If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is that sign…

When you’re going through hell… keep going!
